Aid Musashi's Growth with Academy Drum Corps

Hi, my name is Musashi Reyes. I am a senior at James Campbell High School in Ewa Beach, Hawaii, and I have been given an opportunity to grow as a musician and a performer this summer with the Academy Drum and Bugle Corps. Music has been an essential part of my life, inspiring me to seek out experiences that led me to thrive as a musician. I was originally not planning to join the band in high school due to not having a proper band experience in middle school because of COVID. I decided to join my high school's band program since my friends encouraged me to join, and that was one of the best decisions of my life. Campbell's band program and the Ewa Beach community made a major impact on my life, making me a better performer and person. I was surrounded by amazing directors, techs, and peers, which led me to the musician I am now. This opportunity with the Academy Drum and Bugle Corps will be the next chapter of my life as a musician.

"What is the Academy?" The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps is a competitive marching music ensemble based in Tempe, Arizona. It is a member of Drum Corps International (DCI) and competes in the World Class division, which includes some of the most elite drum corps in the activity. The Academy attracts talented musicians from across the country, offering them an opportunity to develop their musicianship, marching skills, and teamwork at a high level. The corps tours across the U.S. each summer, competing in DCI-sanctioned events and ultimately performing at the DCI World Championships in Indianapolis.

Although I was given this amazing chance, it comes with a high price, and that's where I need your help!

The tuition for this program is $5850, not including the flights from Hawaii to Arizona and the training camps I have to attend. Any donations will be appreciated and will go straight to funding my journey. Even sharing this page with someone you know would help me a lot!
