I am Muhammad Abu Raida from Gaza, 27 years old.
I finished studying civil engineering from Al-Azhar University. I was unable to obtain a graduation certificate due to the accumulation of fees, because I had a brother in the university as well and my father could not pay the remaining fees [2000 dinars]. I tried to work in several areas so that I could collect the amount, until the seventh of October came and the genocidal war broke out, then the suffering began, and we were displaced from home to our relatives in Bani Suhaila and we stayed for nearly two months, then a temporary truce took place for 7 days, then the war returned and we were displaced to Khan Yunis. In the month of 12, then the story of displacement continued.
In December, we went down to Rafah and stayed there for about 5 months in a tent that was not enough for my family. Then we moved from Rafah to Bani Suhaila in an area called Rumaydah. We stayed for about a month, then we moved to Al-Mawasi,, and this was the last displacement. Regarding my family, it consists of 8 people. My father is 55 years old and suffers from high blood pressure, and we find it difficult to provide him with medication. My mother suffers from gallstones and needs an operation, but because of the war conditions, we were unable to do it. Regarding our house, it was very badly damaged and has become... Uninhabited for habitation, here we are in the tenth month of the war, suffering from lack of water, lack of hygiene, and the spread of diseases.
This is me before the war:
This is me now during one of our recent displacements:
The goals of my campaign:
- Helping my family in their exit from Gaza to Egypt
- Rebuilding the house
- Being able to obtain my university degree and go out in order to achieve a goal
Thank you to all of you, my friends
