My name is Mr. Robert Morales, OnRamps Chemistry Instructor at Bellaire High School. Each year, I help over 150 students through Dual Credit Chemistry, and the vast majority of students earn college credit through my course. This teacher appreciation week, I am asking for funds to pay a set of medical bills I had the misfortune of incurring during Spring Break.

For the sake of better teaching students, I had put off some health concerns for longer than I should have and wound up first at Urgent Care, then at the hospital, then at the hospital a second time for a follow-up procedure.

I am feeling better now (though my health concerns aren't truly over), but the health insurance at HISD is less than desirable, and I have quite a bit due.

To be clear, I can pay these bills on my own, though not easily. Because students give gifts this time of year (and because any monetary gifts I receive would go directly toward those bills), I've decided to make this request to simplify the process.
