Aid Monica's Recovery and New Beginning

Hello, my name is Abby and I have known Monica for the past 8 years. We met while pregnant in Alaska together and I have been able to see her transform into the person, friend, mother and daughter she is today.

If you know Monica, she always is willing to be there for anyone when they need or offer a shoulder to anyone in need. This time she needs us. Monica has been given a rough hand and has dealt with everything with grace, but even the strongest people need help. Monica has been left to deal with multiple problems that lie ahead and the fear of the unknown while being so vulnerable is enough within itself. I am asking for you to read her story and consider helping out in anyway possible.

“Mid September I was in a car accident that was life altering and left me with multiple broken bones through out my body. I was actually on my way to see my dad who was in the hospital when the accident happened. It has been a very stressful time on my family between with them moving out of state here shortly.

I have now been in the hospital for over a month with at least 2 more months ahead of me. I've already had 2 massive surgeries and sadly, will most likely need more. In 9 weeks I will hopefully be able to start learning how to walk again.

I had to move back in with my parents after a traumatic incident that happened last September and have only been able to work for 5 months due to health issues from what happened

With my entire family/support system moving away to Kentucky I am left here

trying to figure out everything on my own and don't have much help what so ever and am left trying to figure out housing for Stella and I, and be able to heal in a place that is safe for Stella and I.

I would never ask for help like this but it's very evident that I need it. Bills are coming in rapidly, I will most likely need an at home nurse when I get out of here which is scary but I've continued to have a smile on my face and remain positive for myself and for my daughter.

Any extra money that is made will be going towards Stella and I being able to start over fresh and me being able to continue to heal. And hopefully a fun vacation that Stella and I can go on together.

Monica has not been able to see Stella as much as she would like and hopes that by being prepared for when she is able to, she will be able to be the best mom she can be to Stella. Having as much help and assistance now will allow her to learn how to be a mom in this new way without the extra stress.
