Helping Monica Heal After Major Surgery

My dear friend, Monica recently underwent a major, life-changing surgery to remove fibrous dysplasia — a rare bone condition she’s battled for years. During the procedure, doctors had to remove old hardware from previous surgeries, cut through muscle, break the femur to remove the diseased bone, and replace her hip to stabilize and strengthen the weakened area.

She’s an itinerant aide who works with children, including an amazing 3rd grader she adores — and she also bartends part-time to help support her family. Unfortunately, with a long recovery, she will exhaust her paid time off and faces two weeks without income while she continues to heal.

This GoFundMe is simply to help bridge that short gap — covering a couple of weeks of lost pay so she can focus fully on recovery.
