Our family is facing one of the hardest moments of our lives. A few days ago, our mom suffered a major heart attack. She was taken to Munson in Traverse City and quickly transferred by air to Grand Rapids for emergency care. Her heart is severely damaged, and she is very sick as doctors work to stabilize her.

This comes after months of her being unable to work due to chronic degenerative disc disease. Now, with this unexpected medical crisis, our family is doing everything we can to stay by her side in Grand Rapids. Unfortunately, the costs of travel, housing, food, and missed work are adding up quickly.

My dad is unable to work at this time as he remains with my mom day and night. We want to make sure she never has to face any of this alone.

My mom is the definition of selfless—kind, compassionate, and the purest ray of sunshine in every room she enters. She adores her 7 grandkids and 4 daughters, who are the light of her life. Our only wish is for her to heal and return home to us.
