Aid Mobolaji's Family in Fire Recovery

My good friend Mobolaji and his family are in need of assistance due to the Pasadena Fires.

Mobolaji, Daisy, their young son Ellis, and their beloved cats, Minnie and Strawberry, face the challenges of displacement during the recent fires in Pasadena. Although they were fortunate not to lose their home, their journey has been anything but easy. I know firsthand how much they’ve struggled with unexpected expenses and the emotional toll of keeping their family safe.

When the fires broke out, Mobolaji’s asthma and concern for 10-year-old Ellis’s health forced them to evacuate early due to the terrible air quality. They did everything they could to ensure their family and pets were safe, but that decision meant FEMA would not cover many of their critical expenses. From hotel stays and meals during evacuation to essential supplies they had to purchase on the fly, the costs have quickly added up. Now that they’ve returned home, the challenges continue with cleanup fees, as well as the need for air and water filtration systems to make their living space safe again while the fires remain partially contained.

This family has always been there for their community, and now they need a little help themselves. Your support will go toward:

Covering hotel and food expenses from their evacuation

Cleanup fees for their home and yard

Air and water filtration systems to protect their health

The supplies they needed to keep their family and pets safe

Despite their partial good fortune of not losing their home, Mobolaji, Daisy, and Ellis are dealing with an enormous financial burden. I truly believe they deserve this help as they work to recover and rebuild.

What’s more, knowing their generosity, they’ve decided that any funds raised beyond what they need will be donated to their friends and neighbors who are also struggling to recover from the fires.
