Hello, I am Patricia and I’m setting this GoFundMe up on behalf of my friend, Misti. Misti’s husband, Jake, went into sudden heart failure which led to multi-organ failure. He was airlifted to Nashville. This is a text from Misti as of this morning: I'm very overwhelmed. He is out of surgery for the emergency placement of VA ECMO mechanical heart pump. Back in ICU on ventilator. Will be on ventilator all night for body to rest. ECMO is temporary and he will be on it and in ICU closely monitored until heart transplant. Pray hard. Very hard to sit here in the room and see him like this.

We are asking for donations to help Misti while she’s there with Jake. Obviously, neither of them will be getting a paycheck for the unforeseeable future. Jake will have to stay within 100 miles of the hospital for several months after his heart transplant. Please, if possible, find it in your heart to help reduce some financial stress from Misti’s shoulders. PS: They are also about to be first-time grandparents within the month and will be missing out on being available for that special day as well!!
