Hey, this is a semi-urgent request. I, Miranda (28, transfemme), and my partner, Fern (24, transfemme), are needing to leave our current living situation in rural south Louisiana. Finding an apartment that will take is currently is very unlikely, so we're seeing if we could sublease or something of the sort. Unfortunately due to a violent roommate who threatened both us and my family, we had to flee; the lease stated that to terminate, I would have had to have a signed 60-day agreement with everyone's signatures. Due to that being impossible, I have an eviction on my record. However, I have been making payments on the past due and taking other steps do become debt-free and improve my credit.

This whole situation has left my partner and I living tumultuously with transphobic family, stuck in rural south Louisiana with very little means to improve our condition. We have both had to essentially socially de-transition to live here, which has taken a significant blow to our mental health. We are also, of course, afraid with the general far-right wing sentiment of the majority of people that live around us. The lack of queer protections -in most cases, the inverse thereof- is on our mind constantly.
