Michelle Oelke is a friend to us all. Whether you know her as a friend, a colleague, or a tireless dog advocate, Michelle’s unwavering support and genuine heart have touched countless lives. She’s the first to show up, cheer you on, and stand beside every cause and creature she believes in.

In 2015, Michelle was diagnosed with breast cancer. With incredible courage and determination, she endured months of chemotherapy and celebrated 10 wonderful years of remission.

But earlier this summer, everything changed. A persistent cough led to a series of tests, revealing that Michelle’s original breast cancer had returned and spread to her lungs, sternum, and spine. The news – Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer - was devastating and life-altering.

As she now faces this next chapter of treatment—her financial situation has become extremely difficult. Michelle was laid off from her job, her unemployment benefits have expired, and her savings were depleted during previous layoffs without a chance to recuperate funds. The stress of medical bills, daily living costs, and simply keeping afloat has added another layer of hardship to an already overwhelming journey.

Michelle has always shown up for others. Now, we ask that we take our turn to show up for her.
