My name is Christy Pirlot, I wanted to do something to help my sister, Michelle Stubley who was tragically impacted by the West Allis Floods on Saturday August 9, 2025. As she was asleep in her bed, she heard a extremely loud noise that she thought was a tree falling on her house. When she looked to investigate she realized her home was filled with water. The water was so high in her home she was unable to open her backdoor. She called 911 and was told to stay in her home for her safety. What she didn't realize was that it was not a tree that fell over but her whole side of her home collapsed into her finished basement and completely filled her basement to the ceiling with water and almost entered the first level of her home. She then called again and was told to get out immediately as her house was not structurally safe. The next morning she had an inspector come look at the home and had deemed her home inhabitable and she was not able to reside there until further notices. This was over 2 weeks ago. She had to leave all her possession behind along with family pictures and family treasures that have been destroyed by the flood. Her insurance company has not been very receptive in assisting with this manner and has not gotten back to her regarding anything. She is sitting in limbo with no home and no car (as that was destroyed in the flood as well.) I feel completely helpless and was hoping that our Friends and Family would help so I wanted to create this go fund me for her. She is hard working and this was her first home purchase and she did it all by herself. She renovated the home all by herself and made it her favorite place to be. She had also finished the basement to make it welcoming for guests. It was where we would say when we would come and visit for a few weeks ones a year. I hoping this will help her in somewhat getting her life back to as normal as it can in this devastating time. I thank you in advance and appreciate any help you can give.
