Aid Michelle and Her Children in Their Time of Need

Supporting Michelle Lopez Gonzales and Her Children After the Loss of Matt Gonzales.

On April 15th, our family suffered an unimaginable and sudden loss. Matt, a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind his wife — my sister, Michelle — and their three beautiful children, Enzo (9), Aniah (6), and Ander (4).

He was the heart of their home — a man who worked tirelessly to support his family, so my sister could stay home to raise their kids. He was a hard worker in every sense of the word, but even more than that, he was deeply caring. He loved fiercely and fully — always showing up for the people he cared about, with his whole heart. Whether it was family gatherings, cheering for the 49ers (his favorite team), or just lending a hand when someone needed it, he gave his all.

Now, my sister is left facing not only overwhelming grief, but also the difficult financial weight of funeral costs and the uncertainty of how to provide for her children alone. She’s struggling — emotionally, mentally, and financially — and she needs our help.

• Funeral and memorial expenses

• Immediate living expenses for the kids

• Basic needs while she tries to begin piecing life back together
