Aid Michael's Medical and Living Expenses

Michael was feeling under the weather for about a week & while on a road trip he decided to go to urgent care. It was not a chest cold or pneumonia- we found out he has congestive heart failure due to electrical misfiring, that causes irregular heartbeats. He was in the hospital for 4 nights at Ascension St John's Heart Hospital, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Michelle (wife) and Emily (daughter) spent as much time in the hospital as possible, but also had to coordinate how to get all our stuff back to Tucson.

By that first evening in the er, we knew he wasn't allowed to drive & we'd have to take a plane home.

We had 3 coolers full of food, drinks & snacks for a 2 week road trip, more clothes, shoes, pillows & misc stuff that we could fit in the rental van. We gave away all the coolers & food, shipped back 3 big boxes of misc stuff & condensed everything down to take a flight home.

We do NOT have health insurance, nor does he have paid medical leave through work.

Michael has a cardiology appointment Thurs 8/22 to find out more about his course of treatment.

As of 8/20/24, he has to be off work for a minimum of a month.

He will most likely have to get an ablation procedure within 2 months & we're unsure of the recovery time. Chances are, he may be off work 3 months.

He was sent home with a Life Vest- it's a harness that has an ekg monitor & defibrillator pads with an attached computer, that monitors his heart rate & if his heart were to stop, it would shock his heart to restart. He is not allowed to drive while he wears it, which is 24/7 (except in the shower), for up to 3 months.

He is currently taking 6 medications that help regulate blood pressure, heart rate, keep the fluid down in his lungs.

One of the most effective & important prescriptions, Jardiance, costs approximately $600 monthly.

Michelle has been on disability since 2022. Due to damage in neck & shoulders that affect her hands, she cannot take on more work as a hairstylist or work a new job that requires any lifting, driving or writing/typing.

Please help with any amount possible! Losing his income is incredibly stressful!
