Help Michael Heal – Ankle Surgery Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Michael, and I’ve been living with severe hemophilia A and a rare condition in my left ankle called a subtalar coalition—a painful fusion of bones that were never meant to be joined. For the past 12 years, every step I've taken has been difficult. I’ve continued to work, stay active, and push through as life demands but am no longer able to do so.
My mobility and quality of life have declined to a point where I can no longer manage. After years of exhausting every non-surgical option, I’ve made the difficult decision to undergo a subtalar joint fusion surgery. This procedure will finally bring relief, but it comes with a heavy cost.
Due to the nature of the surgery and my condition as a person with severe hemophilia A, my recovery will be complex and long. I’ll be unable to work for at least four months, which puts me in a vulnerable position. As someone who’s always tried to be independent, asking for help isn’t easy, but I’m reaching out now because it is needed.
Funds raised will go directly toward my essential medical and living expenses during recovery such as medical supplies and transportation to and from appointments. Any support, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this page, means the world to me.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. With your help, I hope to finally take steps that I need to heal.
