Hello, I’m Michael. I’m a 53-year-old electrician from Texas. I recently suffered second and third-degree burns on my backside, which requires skin grafts. Due to these injuries, I have been unable to work, which led to being evicted from my apartment. The amount of physical pain I’m in daily is awful. It’s exhausting to even bathe or properly use the restroom. I feel like I have lost my independence since getting hurt, and it’s extremely hard to swallow my pride and push my ego to the side and ask for help. Since being evicted, I have spent what financial cushion I had for a motel, but my cushion has been depleted.
