Aid Michael Vangelov's Fight for Life and Health

Donation protected
Hello Everyone,

My name is Brianna McConnaughhay, and I’m writing today to raise funds on behalf of my father, Michael Vangelov. Many people know him as a hardworking member of our community dedicated to bettering himself and giving back to others. But he also holds the title of son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather.

On November 9th our world changed forever after Michael suffered a serious accident, falling from 12 feet and landing on his back and neck on a concrete slab. He has suffered two serious brain bleeds, brain swelling, and is fighting for his life. Right now, we have no idea what the future may hold, but are fighting to keep him with us, and to make sure he has all the support possible and can be taken care of on this long road ahead.

My goal for this fund is to help his wife, my mother Karen and our family offset medical costs stemming from his ambulance ride, his intensive care unit stay, the many tests and treatments, and hopefully the physical therapy that will come with time. Karen herself was recently diagnosed with congenital spinal stenosis and is facing her own mounting health and mobility concerns, leaving her fearing for how she’ll care for my father, or be able to afford care in the future for him.

Michael has dedicated his life to helping others, giving back and volunteering throughout his life. He’s spent the last 20+ years working with the Boy Scouts to promote programs for youth. He is heavily involved in his church community and was recently part of the volunteer team for the Giving Machine. The very morning of his accident he had spent hours helping clear the yard and build a porch of an older member of the community who couldn’t do so. He has dedicated countless hours to helping improve the lives of others around him and has been passionate about his work. He would be the first person normally to offer aid of any sort to those around him. Now we find ourselves asking for aid on his behalf.

We give our deepest thanks to everyone, even if you cannot donate for any well wishes, warm thoughts or prayers at this time.
