Merrill Monday has always been the kind of person who puts others first. His entire life has been about working hard and caring for the people he loves, never asking for anything in return. Even now, instead of slowing down in his golden years, he's been working in construction remodels just to make ends meet. Merrill has been on his own since his beloved wife Barbara lost her battle with cancer. No matter what life throws his way, Merrill has always done whatever it takes to keep going.
But now, he's facing some of the toughest challenges of his life. Merrill was recently diagnosed with a form of blood cancer, requiring frequent doctor visits and expensive medication. On top of that, his battle with diabetes led to a severe infection in his right leg. After three surgeries with no improvement, he had to make the heartbreaking decision to have his leg amputated below the knee.
As he begins the long road to recovery, the financial burden is overwhelming. Medical bills are piling up, and while Medicare helps, it only covers so much. Merrill has always been the first to step up when someone needed a hand—now, he needs ours.
Every dollar donated will go directly toward his medical expenses, rehabilitation, and the adjustments he’ll need to make his home and life accessible. Merrill is a man who has given so much to others. Whether it was giving of his time or finances, he has always been someone that people could lean on in their time of need. Now, we have a chance to give back to him.
If you’re able, please consider donating and sharing this campaign with your friends and family. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your kindness and support.
