My name is Devi and I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out to you from the Los Angeles area on behalf of our dear friends Melissa and German, who recently experienced a devastating loss. On the early morning of Wednesday, January 8, 2025, the Eaton Fire tragically destroyed their house along with thousands of other homes and businesses in the Altadena area.

While we are incredibly thankful that Melissa and German escaped unharmed with their family and six cats, the fire claimed irreplaceable belongings, cherished memories, and their sense of security. Overcoming this type of devastation is an overwhelming process, and it will take some time as they work to regain a sense of normalcy.

That’s why we’re organizing this GoFundMe page—many of you have reached out to Melissa and German in order to see how you can assist them during this period.
