Yá'át'ééh (Hello)

First and foremost, My name is Melinda James, I am a Navajo living in Texas and a mother of two wonderful Navajo children. I am currently balancing a full-time job and my studies while navigating a challenging divorce that involves custody issues. Unfortunately, my situation has become quite complex, and I find myself in need of financial assistance to cover legal fees. Despite working for five years, I earn too much to qualify for free legal aid, yet I am facing significant hardships, including the loss of my home, vehicle, withdrawal from school and financial stability.

I have successfully secured a home and a vehicle. I would like to further emphasize that the company I am presently working for is in the midst of a transition to another organization, and the date of the first paycheck will not be until October 1st, 2025. This situation leaves me with the whole month of September to survive on my savings.

I have applied for a loan, but the amount was insufficient to secure legal representation. I am reaching out to seek donations to help me through this difficult time.
