Aid Melanie Hall Through Her Healing Process

Hi Friends,

As reluctant as I am to ask for help, I need some financial assistance.

I'm reaching out for support after suffering a few injuries due to a hard fall 3 weeks ago. I severely sprained my left ankle, broke my right patella (kneecap) and fractured my right elbow. So 3 out of 4 limbs hurt. I spent over 12 hours in the ER and was sent home on crutches. SMH!

By the grace of God, the hospital showed that I had Medi-Cal coverage still in the system from 2017. I'm waiting for my Medi-cal to be transferred from LA to OC so I can see an orthopedic surgeon to determine if I need surgery. I have applied for government assistance but that also takes time. I'm also applying for disability but need a doctor to fill out paperwork but can't do that until my Medi-cal transfer comes through.

As someone who is hyper-independent, I was hesitant to make a GoFundMe account. I have a hard time asking for help and I have seen first hand how people use them repeatedly to manipulate and take advantage of people's kindness and generosity into paying their bills. If you know me, you know that's not me.

For those close to me know that I survived homelessness and other detrimental setbacks in life but have worked very hard to make it out the other side, get back on my feet and finally move back to SoCal. My plan was to do LYFT and other driving gigs until I figure out a what my next career is going to be here in SoCal but unfortunately I can't drive right now.

Falling and getting injured was not on my 2025 bingo card.

I haven't been able to work for the last 3 weeks due to my injuries and my savings is running out. I have enough to pay my cell phone and car payment but that's it. September 1st is quickly approaching and rent is due. I need financial help to get me through the next month or two.

I'm coming to you humbly asking for your help and support. Anything you can give, even just sharing this, truly means more than I can say.
