Coming home from spending time with friends last week, Matthew Tudor was struck in the crosswalk by a truck pulling a trailer that ran a red light. By the grace of God, Matthew noticed the truck at the last instant and avoided being struck completely. He was helped initially on the scene by DPS, they applied a simple tourniquet that likely saved his life, the Arizona Fire and Medical paramedics stabilized Matthew and packaged him to flown by helicopter to Phoenix Children's Hospital where the nurses and doctors saved his life. We are all so grateful that this accident wasn't more tragic. Were also so thankful to every individual who helped keep Matthew alive. Unfortunately for Matthew, he did lose his left leg mid knee and broke a lot of bones from the hit and being dragged by the truck.
Matthew has always been an energetic, outgoing boy that loves to be on the move. He loves playing all sports with his friends especially basketball and football. He's loves his sisters and brothers and sets a great example as a big brother. He excels in school and will be starting 8th grade next year. His spirits are as high as they can be, all things considered. The road to recovery will be long and were asking for your help.
We are asking for any donation to help Matthew's parents pay for medical bills both from multiple surgeries already and the long road to recovery ahead. Our goal is to raise $15,000. This will help pay for the medical expenses and go toward a quality prosthetic for Matthew.
Please know that any small amount will be so greatly appreciated.
