Matthew recently found out that his brain tumor has grown significantly. On 6/03/2025, his MRI results showed his tumor is a Schwannoma, or Meningioma. The mass is partially along the left carotid, into his sinus cavity, and in his brain stem. Surgery would be his best option, but due to his antiphospholipid syndrome and stroke history, Gamma Knife Radiation is the best route for now. His first treatment was scheduled for 6/16/2025.

Saturday morning (the 14th), we found out he has a radiation treatment every day this week. Due to risks of complications and reactions, he must stay close to John Hopkins. Matt worked until he could no longer. Bills still come, and right now he has no income. This is the beginning of a long journey, but we have faith that he will pull through.

Matthew is a father, not to just his own children but to each and every one of their friends. He is the best “Bad Pap” to his 3 grandchildren. He loves any kind of fishing, kayaking, hunting, and dirt track racing. He is the first person you can call any time for anything! He shows up for the people he loves. He is also the first person to help a stranger.
