Aid Matt and Kristen in Their Time of Need

Dear Friends,

In Fall of 2024, our dearest friend, Matt Fuller was diagnosed with advanced throat cancer. Matt underwent months of intensive treatment including radiation and chemotherapy. Most recently, Matt and his wife Kristen (my best friend) were visiting at our cabin, when Matt suffered a life-threatening hemorrhage. He was transported by ambulance to the hospital and is now in the ICU. Matt is currently sedated and intubated but is entertaining the ICU nurses and family with lots of signals: hearts, thumbs up and a few birds!

Matt and Kristen are both teachers at Apalachee HS. He received his devastating diagnosis just days before the school shooting at Apalachee took place. Anyone who has ever met the Fullers (Matt, Kristen, and sons, Jonathan and Patrick), knows they are generously loving, compassionate and kind. They have dedicated their lives doing for others and it is our time to help the Fullers.

Matt has quite the fight ahead of him. The Fullers will encounter bills for multiple critical medical transfers on top of out of pocket medical expenses and deductible. We are reaching out to ask for support for their medical related expenses. No family should have to be concerned about finances in a time like this, and we hope to tap into the power and closeness of the Winder/Apalachee and band communities to uplift our dear friends during this difficult period. Any leftover support will be reinvested into these very communities via a donation to the Apalachee HS band.
