Hi everyone. As some of you may know, our family has had a rough start to 2025.

It started out with an abnormal mammogram for me. After an ultrasound and biopsy, thankfully there was no cancer.

On January 23rd, I came home from work to find Martin having a stroke. The stroke was very bad. As of today, February 22nd, Martin is still in the hospital. We hope he will be able to transfer to a skilled nursing facility next week to start rehab. As a result of the stroke, Martin is not going to be able to work, at least for a while. The doctors are not sure if he will be able to work again. All we can do is keep praying and try to help him recover. At the skilled nursing facility, he will receive physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Martin is paralyzed on his right side, and he cannot speak or swallow. He has a feeding tube. He will still have to have dialysis. He can't walk or drive or get out of bed on his own. He will need a lot of help to recover.

While all of this was happening, we had a spot in our garage and our office flood. We are in the process of dealing with those repairs.

With Martin being disabled now, we lost half of our income. The medical bills and home repair bills are quickly adding up. So, I'm asking for help. If you feel led, any little bit will help. My little family will be forever grateful.
