Back in February, Mark was involved in a horrific accident on N. Roosevelt Blvd. He was rear-ended on his scooter by an uninsured drunk driver racing at 90 mph. He instantly broke his neck and suffered a moderate traumatic brain injury.

All victim funds have failed him. All state and federal programs have failed as well.

He still faces pain every day from the spinal fusion surgery. But the brain injury is the biggest problem. He has around a dozen different symptoms from that brain injury. Everything from needing an apparatus on the side of his bed so he can get in and out, to walking with a cane, to a bad stutter, to radial nerve palsy, which has left him with a paralyzed right hand. He has been in physical and occupational therapy since March, and medical bills and the cost of living are starting to pile up.
