UPDATE: Good Evening all, Patti and Mark just wanted to give heartfelt thank you to everyone that donated and or shared the link to help raise funds. Mark was finally released from the hospital Friday Sept 12th after almost two months from when he was admitted. He is home now with Patti and recovering in the comfort of their home. Every dollar helped greatly with the expenses they incurred over his long hospital stay in Boston and they appreciate everyone who could help out.
Hello, my name is Candi. This GoFundMe is for my big brother, Mark Booth. He recently had to have a major procedure on July 14th, 2025, to remove a sarcoma from his abdominal cavity in Boston. Surgery was successful and looked great until some complications set in, including a sepsis infection and the need for two additional emergency procedures. While we thought he would have been discharged two weeks ago at the latest, he is, as of now, still in the hospital with the MRSA sepsis and recovering from the third procedure, which brings his stay to almost a month.
We are raising money to help fund accommodations, travel, meals, and parking for Mark's wife, Patti, and their kids as there is no release date. Hotels range from 300-400 dollars a night, and parking is not always included. Plus, the cost of parking at the hospital and having meals is expensive. Mark is a loving, giving person who has always supported his community through volunteering. He is a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend who is fighting every day to make sure he comes home to his family. We want his wife and kids to be able to be in Boston as much as possible to support him while he is healing. The recovery road is going to be long, but we are optimistic in Mark's strength and determination to get healthy and home to his family and friends.
