I’m creating this GoFundMe for my brother Manuel Moreno the past few weeks have been overwhelming. What he thought was a small issue turned into a severe infected abscess that required an urgent procedure to drain it, followed by ongoing treatment for an open wound.

The infection spread quickly, and the pain and swelling became unbearable. After seeing a doctor, he was told the abscess needed to be opened and drained immediately to prevent the infection from getting worse. The procedure helped, but it left him with a large open wound that needs daily care, packing, and follow-up care to ensure it heals properly. He is currently in rehabilitation to restore mobility, manage pain, and prevent complications.

This has taken a major toll on his ability to work and cover medical costs. Between the procedure, hospital stay, and rehab, the expenses are adding up fast.

Estoy creando este GoFundMe para mi hermano Manuel Moreno.

Las últimas semanas han sido muy difíciles para el. Lo que él creía que era un problema menor se convirtió en un absceso infectado grave que requirió un procedimiento urgente para drenarlo, seguido de un tratamiento continuo para una herida abierta.

La infección se propagó rápidamente y el dolor y la hinchazón se volvieron insoportables. Después de ver al médico, le dijeron que el absceso debía abrirse y drenarse inmediatamente para evitar que la infección empeorara. El procedimiento ayudó, pero le dejó una herida grande que permanece abierta y que requiere cuidados diarios, vendajes y seguimiento para asegurar una correcta cicatrización.

Actualmente se encuentra en rehabilitación para recuperar la movilidad, controlar el dolor y prevenir complicaciones.

Esto ha afectado considerablemente su capacidad para trabajar y cubrir los gastos médicos. Entre el procedimiento, la hospitalización y la rehabilitación, los gastos se acumulan rápidamente.
