Feeding Manila’s Poor

To many the Philippines is an Island Paradise, but for those who live in the many shanty-towns outside the city center, life is a daily challenge just to make enough to eat. Add to that the crippling fires and typhoons in the last year and many here have lost what little they had. I know there are many worth-wild charities, but this cause tugs at my heart. This is something where even a few dollars can have an immediate effect.

I am an American who spends a lot of time in Manila. The people here are so kind and always have a smile even under the most dire circumstances. I try and feed a couple hundred people every few weeks on my own, but I always end up not having enough and turning people away... and so I am asking for help. Not a lot. Even ten dollars is enough to give ten people enough food to last for three days and all of the money goes to the people who need help.
