Aid Lynn Trosky's Recovery and Care Costs
Donation protected
Two weeks ago, our dad, Lynn Trosky, suffered a fall from a suspected second mini-stroke. Already grappling with a series of serious health challenges, he regained consciousness after several days and has been transferred from the hospital to a skilled nursing facility. Even when he overcomes infections, it's doubtful Lynn will recover adequate mobility and cognitive function to live on his own. Nor is he likely to return to cutting hair as he has the past 63 years as the beloved "Village Hairdresser."
Thankfully, the first part of his care has mostly been covered by Medicare and Lynn is eligible for modest additional help from Medicaid. The goal of this campaign is to cover the remaining cost of rehabilitation and care in the coming months while the family settles affairs and helps him transition to the next phase of life.
If you know Lynn, you know he has few material assets yet gave beyond measure — seeking out the unhoused, underprivileged, and elderly to serve in whatever way he could. We're humbly asking those who've been blessed to know him, or moved by his story, to do likewise. Thanks so much for considering and sharing in your networks.
