Aid Lucas and Family: Out of Work & Cancer Medical Relief

Due to incredible and amazing support for my nephew, Lucas Fedrizzi, we have decided to start a GoFundMe page for the people who do not live in the area, who can not bring their returnable cans, and are not able to be at the Chicken Barbecue Benefit on July 6th. Friends, Family and Community members have already been dropping off or sending cards of support to Lucas Fedrizzi C/O Steve Fedrizzi at 1923 Stewarts Corners Road Genoa, NY 13071, so we are opening up this avenue as well.

This Benefit is for my nephew Lucas Fedrizzi, 36 who is currently fighting an aggressive type of bone cancer that has spread to multiple locations. He is awaiting a full diagnosis and a treatment plan in these next few weeks. In May 2025, he underwent surgery for a second new hip in less than one year. Lucas served in the US Marine Corp from 2007-2011. He served in the GWOT - Global War On Terror and was stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We as a family and community appreciate the service and sacrifice that all of our nation's active service members as well as all of our Veterans have done for this country. For years our family does an annual Chicken BBQ Benefit at Veteran's day to support our service people and we send donations to Gary Sinise Foundation that supports our nations veterans.

Lucas was unaware of any of these happenings on his behalf and once he found out has been beyond humbled by the support from his home communities of Moravia and Southern Cayuga and that of those nationally and globally. Lucas lives in Louisiana with his family, his wife and 2 young children. All funds will go directly to Lucas for his medical bills and the toll that being out of work since April has brought to his family. Overwhelmed with the calls and texts it may be best to send a card. We do believe in the power of prayers, please keep Lucas and his family in your prayers.

Everyone knows I love to help others with benefits, I'm now asking for others to help me help this young man, and his family with medical expenses.
