Greetings from Northwest Arkansas. I am Louis Menendez, but my friends call me Luigi. I am a professional musician who, for the last 40 years, has worked in opera and classical music as a pianist and conductor and am currently the Music Director at Holiday Island Presbyterian Church.

Most recently, I have begun my cancer journey with bladder cancer and prostate cancer. Last week, I had surgery on my bladder, and the fast-growing noninvasive tumor was removed. I am healing slowly. The first chemo treatment kicked me in the butt and made me realize how vulnerable I really am. Plans are being made now for when and what will be done with my prostate.

This journey started ten weeks ago, and I already have so many medical bills from all of the testing, co-pays, and most recent surgery that I am financially overwhelmed. I have worked hard to keep my credit up and consider myself a financially responsible person. I am reaching out for your help so that I may keep my head above water with all of life's regular bills and take care of my medical treatments.
