Aid Lorelai's Family During Her Battle

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

For over 25 years, I have been blessed to have the most fiercely loving and supportive best friend, Jen. Now, I am urging you to help me to support her family during this difficult time.

Jen and her husband Luis are proud parents to Lorelai (13), Thiago (10), and twins Rico and Teo (6). Lorelai was born with Noonan's syndrome and leukemia and has always had regular cancer screenings due to this status. She has overcome many obstacles in her life, but always managed to do so with flair, style, sass, humor, and spunk!

In April, Lorelai's parents took her to New York City for her 13th birthday. She has always loved Hamilton! and was so excited to see it live. Shortly after this trip, Jen took Lorelai to the ER for some pain they assumed would be something innocuous, but cancer was found.

Since mid-April, Lorelai has been battling cancer. After three rounds of unsuccessful chemotherapy treatment in Pittsburgh, Lorelai was accepted into a clinical trial in Columbus and was transferred there in mid-August. Since that time, her health has been declining.

Jen has been working remotely from the hospitals, and Luis has been working on-site and then traveling to the hospital as often as possible. They are at a point now where they MUST stop working and be with Lorelai. It is expected that they will be unable to work for 1-3 months.

While supporting Lorelai, Jen's family still needs to be able to provide for their three boys and keep their lives as stable as possible. They need to cover all their typical bills, including their home, car, utilities, groceries, medical bills, and other necessary expenses. Jen and Luis have managed to keep working diligently at their full-time jobs for as long as possible, but at this point, they absolutely must take time away.
