Aid Lisa's Path to Full Recovery

Donation protected
Hello everyone, this is April.

On Saturday, July 12th, my mom Lisa was not feeling right and was taken to the hospital. After a quick analysis, it was concluded that she had an ischemic stroke in the front of her brain. We caught it in time, and she was able to get Tenecteplase, which is a reversal stroke medicine, in her right away. The stroke has not affected her physically as she is able to walk and swallow, but it has affected her ability to say what she is thinking correctly or write. She is very aware of what's going on and knows exactly what she wants to say; it is just not coming out the way she wants it to. Once out of the ICU and in a regular room, there is the likelihood that she will be moving to an inpatient rehab center for 10-12 days for intense therapy so she can recover and be completely back to herself.

We are supposed to move, just the two of us (and our dog Paris), by mid-August, and it has been a major stressor for my mom. She has been working very hard to save up money for this move. We are unsure now how medical bills will affect this, especially since she will not be home for a bit.

My mom always puts others before herself, especially me. She always strives to make sure everyone around her is okay. She is my best friend and has done everything in her power to make sure I live a beautiful life, even if that means it sets her back.

I am someone who does not like to ask for help, but at this time I am asking for help in any capacity. I want this process to be as stress-free as possible for my mom because she needs to focus on feeling better.

If you have a few dollars you can donate, all money will go to medical bills or anything else my mom may need while she is in the hospital or the rehab center. I know money is very tight for everyone, so even if you can just share this post, it would mean everything. Or, if you would like to come help me pack the house, I will provide food, and we can get a bunch of it done by the time my mom is back home.

She can read messages and cards, so if you even want to just send her a message or share something on her page, she will be able to read it (although she cannot respond quite yet).

This is a new bump in the road, but we are going to get through it. My mom is one of the strongest people I know, and she is already kicking butt here the past few days.

I will continue to update on here how things are going.

Thank you all so much. We love you all!
