Aid Lindsay and Her Son During Recovery

Hello and thank you for reading. My name is Ashley and I am raising money for my best friend, Lindsay and her son. Lindsay took a fall down her stairs at home last week, which resulted in breaking two bones in her ankle and tearing the tendon. She had to stay in the hospital for a few days and had surgery to repair the bones and tendon.

Lindsay is the type of person to never ask for help on her own, but she is struggling, so I'm asking for her.

Lindsay is a single mom of a teenage boy and has been raising him on her own. She is also a long-time first responder and public servant. She has been an EMT in the Berkeley County area for over 15 years, as well as serving as a volunteer for a local fire department. She has selflessly given to our community for little pay for a long time and therefore does not have the savings needed in a time like this. She will be out of work with no pay for at least the next 3 months. Her job does not offer short or long-term disability and is not offering her light duty due to the injury not being an on-the-job event. Her monthly household bills are already piling up, and she could really use some help.
