Aid Linda's Journey to a New, Safer, Home
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Renee, and I’m raising funds to help my mom, Linda, transition from the large farmhouse she’s lived in for over 40 years into a smaller, safer apartment.
She's disabled and has been facing increasing health, mobility, and financial challenges. After the recent loss of her husband, she’s been left struggling to manage both the physical demands of the house and the financial strain that’s followed due to only receiving social security benefits. Her house, once a place full of life and routine, has become too much for her to maintain on her own. My brother and I have tried to help as much as we can, but it's become too much of a financial strain for all of us.
We've found an apartment community that she can move into that will be more manageable financially as well as being safer than her 3-story home. But moving after so many years, especially under difficult circumstances, comes with significant expenses.
We're hoping to raise enough money to help cover:
First month’s rent and security deposit
Moving costs and transportation
Dumpster rentals for downsizing
New furniture that will fit inside her new apartment
Outstanding utility bills and remaining expenses from the house
This move is necessary for her safety, well-being, and our peace of mind. Any contribution you’re able to make—large or small—would make a real difference. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign would also mean a lot.
Thank you for taking the time to read and support this effort to help my mom start a new chapter in a safer, more manageable home.
With appreciation,
Renee
