Hi, my name is Brooke Newsom. I work at Paws Animal Shelter where I met the sweetest cat ever named Lincoln and absolutely fell in love with him and just had to adopt him. (Bonus because the kitty that I had adopted earlier on from Paws really wanted a brother lol)
After about six months of having Lincoln, he started to experience some symptoms of having a urinary blockage, so I took him to the vet where we were able to determine that he wasn’t blocked and that he was most likely just having some bladder inflammation. After a couple of trips to the vet, we were able to get him on a treatment plan and he recovered soon after and was back to his happy, playful self.
Unfortunately, about a year later, Lincoln started having symptoms of a urinary blockage again, so I had to rush him to the emergency vet where they determined that he did have a blockage, and he had to have an emergency catheter placed and stay in the hospital for several days. After about a week of him being home, he was still having concerning symptoms, so I brought him back to the vet where they ran more tests and prescribed him an anti-inflammatory to try and help him get on the right track. Unfortunately, he still hadn’t improved, so he got prescribed another 10-day course of anti-inflammatories.
Unfortunately, poor little Linky still hasn’t improved and needs to go back to the vet again. I’ve already spent at least $2000 from his most recent two vet visits this month and I need help to be able to continue to try and find a treatment that will work for him and get him back to his playful, happy self.
Please, if there’s any way you would be able to donate to help Lincoln, we would be extremely grateful. Any amount helps.
If you are able to donate or share, thank you so much for helping to get this sweet boy back to his happy self.
If you’re unable to donate, please share; that’s very helpful too.
Thank you all
