Lily Iris was born on March 11, 2022, a gastroschisis baby, premature at 34 weeks, weighing 6lbs 1oz. Lily underwent several surgeries and spent 4 months in the hospital. She is now an ultra-short gut 3-year-old with only 10cm of small bowel left, no valve. Lily has a central line (Broviac) and a G-tube. Lily is TPN dependent and will most likely have to undergo several more surgeries as she grows.
Recently, Lily has undergone multiple other surgeries related to her gut and her pancreas. Lily isn't making huge progress in her steps to becoming line-free. Her overnight feeds are minimal, and we feel as though she could be making better progress with outside input from other teams.
As a family, we are looking to get a second opinion from either Boston Medical or Omaha, who specialize in ultra-short gut patients.
I am a single mom, trying to do what is best for my daughter Lily. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you ahead of time.
