Aid Leo’s Journey to Healing

Poor Leo was hit by a car, unable to put any weight on his injured leg. X-rays revealed a painful spiral fracture in his left hind leg - an injury far too severe to heal on its own. Without urgent orthopedic surgery, he was at risk of losing his leg forever. We couldn’t let that happen. Leo underwent complex orthopedic surgery, during which metal pins were placed to stabilize the broken bone. Now, Leo is receiving the best care possible as he begins his long journey to recovery. There’s still a tough road ahead, with rehabilitation and follow-up treatments needed to help him walk again without pain.
