Hi, my name is LaShay, a 36-year-old mother of five beautiful children. In September 2025, I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma and since October I’ve been undergoing weekly chemotherapy treatments. The journey has been physically and emotionally overwhelming while still caring for my young children.

In January, I was hospitalized after doctors discovered a blood clot in my heart caused by my treatment. Shortly after, I underwent a double mastectomy in March 2026. During my recovery, I suffered severe complications, including infections that required emergency surgery and blood transfusions.

At the same time, I’ve been facing this battle largely on my own. The father of my children, who initially offered support, became unreliable and created unsafe situations during a critical time in my recovery. While I was hospitalized for emergency surgery, he took my vehicle without permission and crashed it.

Unfortunately, I only had liability insurance, leaving me responsible for all repair costs.

Now, I am out of work due to ongoing treatment and recovery, still undergoing chemotherapy for the next year, and doing my best to care for my five children with very limited support. Without a working vehicle, even basic tasks like getting my children to and from school have become extremely difficult, especially as I deal with side effects like weakness and vertigo.

I’m asking for help to cover essential expenses, including transportation, vehicle repairs, and basic needs for my children while I recover and continue treatment. No amount is too small, and every bit of support truly means the world to us.
