Hi, my name is Lorraine Marozzi and I'm creating this GoFundMe for my co-worker at Bayberry Cove, Larry Smith. Last weekend, Larry was very sick and in a lot of pain. His significant other drove him to Cooper/Cape Regional hospital, where he was stabilized before being airlifted to AtlanticCare in Galloway. There he was rushed into surgery and a stent was placed in one of his arteries, which had been 98% blocked. Happily, Larry recovered and is currently at home. He will have a long road to recovery that will include cardiac rehab, and lots of R&R.
Larry is a hardworking member of the Bayberry maintenance department and is a friend to all. He always says 'Hi' and is glad to help whenever asked. He's also a great friend of all the dogs at Bayberry, who run up to him for one of the biscuits that he always carries in his pocket or on his golf cart.
Larry does have medical insurance through the state of NJ. He has also applied for temporary disability benefits through the state but is waiting for his doctor to complete the form and submit it. I'm starting this GoFundMe to help Larry with interim everyday bills, until his state benefits kick in.
Many at Bayberry have asked how they can help, and this is one way. We sent out an email when Larry was first in the hospital, saying that get-well cards could be sent to his home address, which was listed in the email. If you can't find it and need it, contact the Bayberry Cove office via email or phone.
Larry is a pretty humble guy, and he appreciates everything and anything we can do to help him out. He's not allowed to drive yet, but once he is I'm sure he'll stop at the park to say 'hello' before he's able to come back to work full-time.
Thank you for your donations and get well wishes.
Lorraine
