My name is Lyndsay and I am raising funds for my mother, Kimberly Woods. Christmas Day she started getting sick and went to the Helena ER. Before she even had a chance to sit down, they were taking her back into a room. They ordered x-rays, ultrasounds, and numerous other tests. It turned out she had gallstones and an infection in her entire abdominal cavity. They rushed her to the Bozeman ER and she had surgery there. The doctor said it was one of the worst he has ever seen. My dad followed her up in their vehicle and spent the entire time in Bozeman. She came home for one day and then got sick again and was admitted to the Helena ER. She was there for seven days. After being let out, she has had to go to multiple appointments, and her husband has had to take her to those. One other sad note, the day before she got home her dog Axle passed away.
Friday the 24th, she was able to be released to finally be on some solid foods. She has started physical therapy and has a home health nurse coming out twice a week.
My mom has helped homeless families, families about to become homeless, or just families needing a helping hand. Not just here in Montana but in California and Arizona. She has worked at Family Promise for the last seven years and has helped over three hundred families. I am hoping that the community will help her out in her time of need.
