Aid Kim’s recovery from chronic illness

Dear people,

I’m creating this request today on behalf of a dear friend of mine, Kim Rush— a resilient, courageous woman who is walking a truly difficult healing path.

For the past two years, she has been living in her car while recovering from mold poisoning and a complex condition called Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS). Despite every challenge thrown at her — physical, emotional, and financial — she continues to fight for her health with remarkable strength.

She’s made incredible progress, but she still urgently needs access to medical treatment and safe, mold-free housing. Unfortunately, these things are nearly impossible to find or afford when you live with extreme environmental sensitivities.

At the moment, she receives just $200 a month in food stamps, which barely covers basic food, let alone the cost of gas for medical appointments, laundry, hygiene supplies, or treatment. She’s applied for help through every traditional channel available — including disability and housing services — but those systems move slowly and often don’t understand the complexities of environmental illness.

She wants you to know this: she doesn’t see herself as a victim. She is not giving up. Her spirit is strong and her vision is clear — she will overcome this and return to serving others. Even in the midst of this journey, she has written and published a book, created a nervous system healing program, and started sharing her story to empower others living with invisible illness.

But right now, she needs help. And I’m hoping that — if you’re in a position to support her — you might consider contributing.

• Medical treatment and lab testing

• Emergency housing that is safe and mold-free

• Food, hygiene, and essential living supplies
