Aid Kilka's Healing After Her Accident

Hey! If you’re reading this, you probably know me through the furry art world or we’ve crossed paths in some way - thank you for being here.

This morning, my cat Kilka jumped from a shelf and landed badly. Since then, she’s been limping and trying not to step on her front right paw at all. She’s still running around (because she's Kilka, of course), but clearly in discomfort and avoiding putting any pressure on the injured leg.

Tomorrow I’m taking her to the vet. Right now, I can only hope it’s something minor - like a sprain or a small fracture - which could be managed with a splint, rest, and pain meds. If that’s the case, the expected cost is around $800-$1,000 for the exam, x-rays, and treatment

But if it turns out to be more serious (like a complex fracture that needs surgery), I’ll update this fundraiser and adjust the goal

Many of you know Kilka - she’s a loud, chaotic, curious, stubborn little creature with a huge personality. And she’s family.

I’ve just been through a tough relocation and started rebuilding life from scratch. Things were finally starting to settle.. and then, of course, something like this happens.

I hate asking for help, especially publicly - but this is one of those moments where I simply can’t handle it on my own, no matter how much I wish I could.
