Starting with a few odd symptoms, and a trip to the doctor for some bloodwork, Kevin was quickly diagnosed with APML (acute promyelocytic leukemia). He is now in Greenville, SC receiving daily infusion treatments for a 28-day regimen. Once complete, he’ll have another bone marrow biopsy and if he is in remission, he’ll be discharged home. At that time, a 6-month outpatient treatment plan will begin.

There has been an outpouring of love from those wanting to provide assistance. As a longtime friend of Kevin, Kim and their families, I wanted to create a support opportunity. Kim and the kids have been traveling back and forth to Greenville from Lexington to see Kevin regularly. The financial burden is creeping up for transportation, meals, and other necessities while they are away from home.

I believe helping to offset these unexpected expenses would allow the family to focus on Kevin’s treatment and recovery.
