Aid Kenny's Peaceful Return to Kenya

My name is Dan. Over the past nine years, Kenny Mugula would often drive me to and from the Atlanta airport when I traveled for business. We became good friends during this time. Kenny is very special to me and my wife Wendi. He is a man of great wisdom and compassion. Kenny shared with us two years ago that he had colon cancer. Two weeks ago Kenny shared that his cancer has spread to his liver, lungs and kidneys. I talked with his Oncologist and she shared that Kenny is in Stage 4 and recommends hospice care. He has between 3 and 6 months left to live.

Kenny moved into our home this week so we can care for him. He has made the personal decision to forgo chemotherapy treatment. His faith in his Creator and Savior, and desire to stay away from the pain and suffering from chemo is what lead to his decision.

Kenny is from Kisumu Kenya. He is a U.S. citizen. Kenny has worked hard for over 20 yrs to make a living and send money home to his wife who was deported back in 2010 after overstaying her student visa. They have three sons in their mid-20's here in the U.S. all working hard in their jobs after graduating from college.

Kenny will remain with us in our home for a few weeks while he gains strength. Then I will fly to Kenya with Kenny so he can die in his hometown in the arms of his wife.

Wendi and I seeded this GoFundMe with $4,000. We are hoping to raise money to help with his flight to Kenya, current medical bill debt, burial costs, and some funds for his three sons, which will be managed by a trustworthy financial advisor for them.
