Taking a chance and asking for help!

Hello, my name is Kennedy Jackson and I am from PG County, MD. I am currently in my 1st year of grad school in Hawai‘i to pursue my Master’s in Marine Science. Sharing a fun fact too! There’s only 2% of Black people, specifically Black women, who are in this field, I’m thankful that you are watching and are apart of my journey ٩(˃̶͈̀௰˂̶͈́)و

In pursuing my dreams, I have basically depleted my savings last semester and have started work this semester, but am still waiting for more work since I am only scheduled to work 1 day a week right now (hopefully that changes soon). I have a $3k account balance from financial aid and I’m behind on rent due to the changes that the VA has made for dependent military assistance. I’m asking for help because closed mouths don’t get fed and hoping that that someone out there maybe sees me trying my best to finish my degree by next year!
