On June 21, 2025, my father, Ken Shepherd, and his husband, Adam, lost their house from the Cotton Fire in Los Lunas, NM. They also, unfortunately, lost nearly all their beloved pets to the fires despite their best efforts. They have nothing but some important documents, some crucial medication, and the clothes on their backs. They lost valuable possessions such as family photos, prized heirlooms, and my dad’s late mother’s ashes.

This has been truly devastating to them and has caused a lot of emotional turmoil as well as uncertainty about where to go from here. If you can spare anything to help my dad and Adam rebuild their entire lives, it would be so very appreciated. Thank you.
