Aid Kelli in Preserving Bolt's Memory
Donation protected
This week a friend of mine, Kelli Moulden, lost a special member of her family, a Peregrine Falcon named BOLT. I'm raising funds so that Kelli can have a taxidermist preserve Bolt so that he can continue to wow his audience in schools, libraries and events all over Northern California. Every dollar you donate will make this happen.
A little history; Kelli is the founder of a non-profit "Hawks Honkers & Hoots" (www.hawkshonkersandhoots.org) which is 100% volunteer based. Kelli and her team give injured birds of prey a 2nd chance at life that would otherwise likely be euthanized. Bolt came from the Lindsay Wildlife Museum. He had been rescued as a yearling by some town folks who found him on the ground in their garden, unable to fly. He had an injured wing, probably from hitting something as he was hunting. As such, Bolt was unable to return to the wild and came to be the 2nd longest Ambassador for Kelli's program, teaching young and old alike and touching many hearts along the way for 12 years. In the end Bolt had an unexpected heart condition and was put to rest January 27th.
Please help this non-profit by donating anything you can. When we meet our goal I will keep you updated and post new photos so you see where your hard earned dollars have gone.
Thank you and God bless.
