Hi! I'm Katie. Thank you for being a part of this next move of God in my life. One that of course will bless me and my family, but is an opportunity to live a life deepened and surrendered by the true love of God that is meant to pour out of me into everything I do and everyone I meet.

I released my life to the Lord Jesus during a women's church service at Revelation Church in Simi Valley, CA in 2023. He had been pursuing me my entire life, but in that room, at that time, I said, "Okay God. Whatever You want, I'm down." He took me back and has been doing amazing things in me ever since.

When I first accepted Jesus into my heart, I didn't know what it meant to walk with God, just that Jesus loved me and He was with me and I wanted to fall head over heels in love with Him too. I became a mother to Aurora Shanoah Jackson in the fall of 2023, and knew within the first week that just being a believer wasn't enough. I was convicted to follow Jesus and seek Him with my whole heart, and that this was the plan for my children as well.

It didn't start easy! There were a lot of old structures that had to come down, and through it all, every tear, every sleepless night, and every prayer at the gas station (lol!), God was there with me, being my Rock, and giving me hope and His word to help me to keep going and keep forgiving.

I walked into Christian life getting fed big spiritual meals. God gave me what I needed to get me unstuck and moving forward. Now I'm learning how to surrender to the simplicity of His grace, His mercy, His wonderful, awesome love. I'm learning what it means to be a friend of Jesus, and to see God as a loving, gentle Father that I don't have to beg for anything, but just be myself with. I see Aurora growing with Him as well.

For about a year now, I had a strong feeling that I would need to be a part of a ministry school, and at first I was a little nervous, but when I came to Garden Church this past spring and saw that their School of Ministry was opening up for their 2nd semester, I knew it was my time.

The Lord is awesome and He blows my mind. Along with joining this 8-month ministry school, I am also a full-time college student at Long Beach City College (with a prospective major in Studio Art), an artist, a mother, and I run an organization at LBCC to help support the student mothers at our school. My schedule does not give a lot of room for idleness, and I thank God!

The Lord has given me a heart for mothers, women, and children, and has given me life experiences as a woman, as a mother, that I know were not just meant for our relationship, but to help others. As I move forward, my desire to support families, women, and children grows stronger, my vision becomes clearer, and I'm looking forward to seeing all the amazing things the Lord has planned for His people as I walk further into His light.

I'm fundraising to support my journey through the 8-month ministry school at Garden Church. This will not only bless me and my family but also enable me to pour out God's love into everything I do and everyone I meet.
