This is my daughter, Karly Paz. Tuesday morning, her work called me and said she never showed up and they couldn’t get ahold of her. I rushed as fast as I could to get there. She had gone home sick from work on Sunday, so I was very worried. I found her at her apartment; her lips, toes, and fingers were a purplish-blue color. She could hardly talk or breathe. After getting to the ER, her blood oxygen was 40, and her blood pressure was 32/17. After 6 hours in the ER, they finally got her up to the ICU. The doctor told me she needed to be put on life support, or she will not make it through the night. She has multi-organ failure, toxic shock, a severe lung infection, she is septic and not doing good at all. Although she has made some slight improvement, the doctor said she is nowhere out of the woods at all. He told me she could pass at any time. I’m lost without her talking back to me. I feel hopeless as a mother. We are supposed to take care of our babies no matter how old they are. She has a 10-year-old daughter to fight for, so I know she has the strength to make it through this. Can you please help in any way? When she comes home, she will not be able to work for a while, and a large stack of bills will be waiting for her.
